Typically, there is no premium for Medicare Part A if you have worked at least 10 years and paid Medicare taxes. Medicare Part A is hospital insurance that covers inpatient hospital care, limited time in a skilled nursing facility, limited home health care services and hospice care. Please note that Medicare Part A doesn’t cover the entire amount of your hospital bill, so you will likely be responsible for a portion of the costs in the form of a deductible.
