Medicare has four parts: Part A, B, C and D and one additional type of plan called Medicare Supplement (Medigap).
Medicare Part B helps pay for outpatient care such as outpatient doctor visits, tests and screenings. Unlike Part A, in which most people are automatically enrolled, most people have to enroll for Part B, and it comes with a monthly premium.
